Lanzerac Wine Estate is situated at the gateway to the Jonkershoek Valley. The wilderness area at the head of this valley is a favourite area for hiking, mountain biking and fly fishing. Lanzerac was established as a farm in 1692 as the farm Schoongezicht. The first cellar was constructed in the early 1800’s. What followed was an fascinating history in which the farm was transformed into a high end producer of wine and luxurious hotel.
