Eerste River at Lanzerac
Eerste River flowing past Lanzerac Wine Estate. The Eerste River rises in the mountains surrounding the Jonkershoek Valley. The watercolour shows the river flowing past the bottom end of the Lanzerac Wine Estate. The river is still full from a rainy Winter.
This watercolour drew on my love for loose, throw-it-on washes as well as my love for the minute details that tell small stories – like about the water flowing around the rocks.
Water flowing around rocks, I find it mesmerising.
