Rapid on Lourens River
Here is another view of Norman’s Rapid. This is all different now, as a result of high rainfall in the basin in the last few years. The log has gone. Last week Aura and I walked on the beach and we came across a log which may very well be this one – who knows really – but the thought is tantalising.
The collection of boulders has also changed. The river widely overflowed its banks and the hydraulics down there must have been intense.
