Puddle Rock #11
This collection of shales and quartzite boulders never gets old. I have a tradition of visiting the site every year on 01 January to paint the same view.
This particular version started as a demonstration to the Western Cape Art Society and was finished in the studio.
Long ago I sought the connection between my watercolour and my work with corporate teams. So I used this view to paint a watercolour, projected onto a screen while I spoke about planning and executing work in teams. It was intense!
Right now I enjoy painting the scene and am pleased that slowly each version brings fresh insights on this journey in watercolour.
