This is one of my favourite views of the mountains over Gordons Bay from the boardwalk at The Pipe Beach.

The Pipe is the local break of choice – though it gets busy and then I go out to the reef behind Dakkies – which is a bit nippy as it is quite far out.

But this is one of my favourite places to sit and paint a watercolour.  I have been sitting here since about 2008 when I first started blogging.  A few years ago a local councillor decided that we need a boardwalk.  So a pleasant young man came one day and dug a trench through the dune and built a very cool walkway.  Of course, most of his work was under sand within a week or so but the last bit still protrudes and provides a place for people to stand or sit to admire our beautiful stretch of coast and False Bay surrounded by mountains.
