Lourens River:  Victoria Park #2 – Original Watercolour

The Lourens River flows from Somerset West to Strand through a stretch of “No-Mans Land”.  Victoria Road runs down one long border of the land so (I assume) this gave the name.  It is an extremely valuable free-access area.  However vagrants live along the banks and it is another dodgy area.

This watercolour shows a rocky bank on the river.  That is Helderberg on the horizon.

This watercolour was completed for the cover of the 2023 Lourens River Calendar
