A mother walking with her child on Boulders Beach
Boulders Beach was a favourite place to enjoy the bay. The sea is clear and cool. There is some shelter from the South East wind that blows in the summer. And the granite boulders are very beautiful. For years it was a favourite go-to for a day on the beach. Then the dress code went up when jackass penguins began nesting amongst the granite boulders. Now we are not allowed on the beach at all! But these little guys are very precious. And with the overfishing in the bay the penguins have to travel so far to feed that they are too tired to breed.
